Sacramento-based creator Ben C. Schwartz opened his shop, Empire’s Comics Vault, in 2003 and has served the comic book community ever since.

From food drives to collecting toys for kids, from Free Comic Book Day festivals to Creative Women Mini-Cons, and from brewery board game nights to sponsoring the Sacramento Roller Derby, Empire’s Comics Vault is committed to building and supporting the comic book community and Sacramento.

Continuum Press was born using the comic book shop as a launchpad. Although editing, marketing, design, and production are all part of his job, writing is his passion.

Continuum Universe showcases fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and superheroes all in one universe!  Two trade paperbacks collect all of the original Continuum Universe adventures, with the New Age stories set three years in the future happening right now.

Trixie Dynamite is an all-ages over-the-top sci-fi comedy set in Sacramentropolis, 2126. Come along with the city’s zany protector as she and her best bud Chip go head-to-head with the Puggernaught, Black Betty, Rainbow Brute, Batma’am, and more!

The shop mascots star in their own line of children’s books about pugs. Rolly Polly and Captain Dylan have three stories available now, and the newest mascots, P-Chan and Shampoo, have a book of their own coming soon.

Ben is married to Continuum Press Editor-In-Chief, Jennifer Schwartz, and has an unearthly affection for his two pugs.
