Ben C. Schwartz

"I create because I love it."

Sacramento-based creator Ben C. Schwartz opened his shop, Empire’s Comics Vault, in 2003 and has served the comic book community ever since.

From food drives to collecting toys for kids, from Free Comic Book Day festivals to Creative Women Mini-Cons, and from brewery board game nights to sponsoring the Sacramento Roller Derby, Empire’s Comics Vault is committed to building and supporting the comic book community and Sacramento.

Continuum Press was born using the comic book shop as a launchpad. Although editing, marketing, design, and production are all part of his job, writing is his passion. With 6 titles and 22 issues now in two trade paperbacks, and more on the way, Continuum Press continues to grow.

Trixie Dynamite, the sci-fi comedy sett 100 years in future Sacramentropolis, has also been collected into a trade paper back that is available now.

Ben’s newest endeavor is his children’s book line featuring his two pugs Rolly Polly and Captain Dylan. He is married to Continuum Press Editor-In-Chief, Jennifer Schwartz, and has an unearthly affection for his two pugs.
